Vintage Ornate Footed Heart Trinket Box, a very popular style of decorative dressing table jewellery box mostly manufactured from the 1960s through the 1980s

It features an embossed, country-style pastoral repousse scene depicting a traditional horse-drawn farm cart or wagon being loaded by a farmer, alongside a dog in a field.

Typically cast from a non-magnetic white metal alloy like spelter, white metal, or pewter, and finished with a silver-plated or antiqued silver tone wash.

 It features a vibrant, padded red velvet or flocked lining designed to protect rings and small jewellery from scratching. 

Many of these specific ornate mid-to-late 20th-century jewellery boxes were produced in Japan, Hong Kong, or Western Europe for the giftware market.
