Vintage Swiss Hand-Turned Wooden Musical Pedestal Bowl. It features a world-renowned mechanical movement by Reuge, the famous luxury music box manufacturer based in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland.

This beautiful bowl plays the traditional German/Swiss dialect folk song "Nach em Räge schint d'Sunne" ("After the Rain, the Sun Shines").

The top of the pedestal dish is beautifully adorned with hand-painted alpine wildflowers, distinctly highlighting a white Edelweiss bloom and blue Gentian flowers. 

These were highly popular mid-century souvenirs from the Swiss Alps, often functioning as rotating "Lazy Susan" style serving dishes or decorative vanity tazzas.
